--------------------------------------------------------------------- CP/M BOOT loaders that works with PEREX SHARP MZ-800 EMULATOR --------------------------------------------------------------------- Use them to boot CP/M floppies created from .MZD disk images with STIMG.EXE or IMGBUILD.EXE ( these floppies are not "autobootable" from 'F'loppy disk menu ) Alternatively you can use them to boot every CP/M formatted floppy with this emulator. Run the bootloader like normal .mzf file ( game ) : go into 'C'asette tape menu, select the file and press ENTER. Before you do that, you should have SHARP MZ-800 CP/M formatted floppy already placed in disk drive. (see mzdhowto.txt for details on how to make CP/M formatted floppies) cpmboot1.mzf use it when you run SHARP MZ-800 emulator in regular MS-DOS or Windows9x "MS-DOS only" selection. (hold down F8 key while Windows booting to select such option or restart them with "reboot MS-DOS" option.) cpmboot2.mzf try this one if cpmload1.mzf does not boot the floppy you want to. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- *NOTE* These two booot loaders usually DO NOT boot when you are running emulator in Windows9X window or shell (multitask mode). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cpmwinb1.mzf this one tries to boot the floppy when emulator is running in Windows9x task. - the emulated MZ-800 disk operations are very *unstable* and go wrong when you run the emulator in Windows9x windowed task - usually you are not able to read certain files, CP/M will hang etc. Please use MS-DOS when you want to read/write floppies.
